EHR / EDI Integration Configuration

MDLIVE supports EHR (Electronic Health Record) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) integrations in both Staging (Test) and Production environments.

EHR (Electronic Health Record)

An EHR is a comprehensive, digital, and longitudinal record of a patient’s medical history.
It typically includes diagnoses, medications, laboratory results, clinical notes, and imaging, and is used by healthcare providers to support patient care.

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)

EDI is the automated, computer-to-computer exchange of standardized business documents—such as eligibility requests, claims, remittance advice, and enrollment transactions—between organizations.
It replaces manual, paper-based processes, reducing errors, improving data accuracy, and increasing operational efficiency.

The Staging environment serves as the designated test environment for MDLIVE.
All EHR / EDI integrations must be fully configured and validated in Staging before being promoted to the Production environment.

3	Staging	CA Certificate Chain (Required for mTLS)	Download MDLIVE EHR / EDI Staging CA Certificate Chain (Intermediate + Root). The above file must be imported into the client trust store for mTLS validation.
4	Production	Server End Certificate	Download MDLIVE EHR / EDI Production Server Certificate (Expires: 2027/02/09). The above certificate is presented by the MDLIVE server during the TLS handshake and should not be imported into the client trust store.
5	Production	CA Certificate Chain (Required for mTLS)	Download MDLIVE EHR / EDI Production CA Certificate Chain (Intermediate + Root). The above file must be imported into the client trust store for mTLS validation.
